The Challenge
The project required more than manufacturing a single component. The finished product combined fabricated parts, electrical components, insulation materials, surface finishing and final mechanical assembly within one integrated scope.
Critical inputs came from different manufacturing regions: selected electrical switch components were sourced from China, specialized insulation materials from Europe, while the main manufactured components were produced and painted in Türkiye.
The challenge was to bring these supply streams together at the correct specification, quality level and production timing so they could become one complete industrial assembly.
THE INTEGRATION CHALLENGE
THREE SUPPLY REGIONS. MULTIPLE TECHNOLOGIES. ONE FINISHED ASSEMBLY.
The Fabriox Approach
Fabriox structured the project around the finished assembly rather than treating each item in the bill of material as an isolated sourcing requirement.
International component sourcing was coordinated with local manufacturing, surface finishing and final assembly in Türkiye. Procurement therefore became part of the production plan, with each incoming component linked to the stage at which it was required.
INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING ROUTE
GLOBAL COMPONENT SOURCING → LOCAL MANUFACTURING → SURFACE FINISHING → COMPONENT CONSOLIDATION → FINAL ASSEMBLY → COMPLETE PRODUCT
Managing a Multi-Region BOM
Electrical Components from China
Specified switch components were sourced from China and incorporated into the assembly plan as controlled purchased items rather than handled as a separate procurement stream.
Insulation Materials from Europe
Specialized insulation materials were sourced from Europe in line with the technical requirements of the finished assembly and synchronized with the local production schedule.
Manufacturing in Türkiye
The main manufactured components were produced in Türkiye, creating the structural and physical basis of the final product.
Surface Finishing
Locally manufactured components were painted before integration, making finishing an active stage of the manufacturing route rather than a downstream handoff.
Component Consolidation & Final Assembly
Imported components, insulation materials and locally manufactured parts were brought together in Türkiye and integrated into the final assembly. The objective was not simply to receive parts, but to convert a distributed BOM into one customer-ready product.
PROGRAM PRINCIPLE
THE BOM WAS GLOBAL. THE EXECUTION HAD TO BE ONE SYSTEM.
From Distributed Supply to Integrated Manufacturing
A multi-region bill of material creates value only when sourcing and manufacturing are synchronized. A late imported component can stop local assembly; a finishing delay can make an otherwise complete BOM unusable.
For that reason, the project was managed around the dependency between supply, production and assembly - not around individual purchase orders.
MANUFACTURING INSIGHT
ASSEMBLY IS NOT THE LAST STEP. IT IS THE POINT WHERE THE ENTIRE SUPPLY CHAIN HAS TO WORK.
The Result
The project transformed components sourced across China, Europe and Türkiye into a single finished industrial assembly manufactured, finished and integrated in Türkiye.
Instead of requiring the customer to independently coordinate international suppliers, local manufacturing, painting and final assembly, the complete scope was managed as one manufacturing program with a common execution path.
WHAT THE PROJECT PROVED
WE DIDN'T JUST ASSEMBLE THE PRODUCT. WE ASSEMBLED THE SUPPLY CHAIN BEHIND IT.
What This Project Demonstrated
Assembly & Integration is not simply the physical act of joining components. For complex industrial products, it requires sourcing, manufacturing, finishing, material availability and production timing to converge around the finished product.
This is where a distributed supply base can become a managed manufacturing system - multiple sources and capabilities, coordinated through one execution layer.
Have a Multi-Component Assembly Program?
Share the BOM, drawings, purchased-component specifications, annual volumes and assembly requirements. Fabriox can evaluate the complete sourcing and manufacturing route and coordinate execution through final assembly.
